Chief of Joint staff takes part on Northern Headquarters Conference

8/9 November, Chief of Joint staff Major General Vitalijus Vaikšnoras takes part on Northern Headquarters Conference held in Bodo (Norvay).  The aim of this forum for the ‘northern family’ of operational headquarters is to discuss issues of common interest, promote cooperation with Northern Allies and Partners, develop better networks and increase situational awareness.

Together with JFC Brunssum staff, the Conference was attended by more than 27 flag officers (officers of General rank and equivalent from Naval, Air Force and civilian life).  Delegates represented the NATO Command Structure, Allied Nations, Multi National Corps North East, the UK’s Allied Rapid Reaction Corps, U.S. Army Europe, and the non-NATO nations, Finland and Sweden.

Lithuanian armed forces national exercises ‘Thunder Strike 2017'

One of the most important Lithuanian armed forces national exercises ‘Thunder Strike 2017' will take place in the east part of Lithuania. In 28th April - 7th May, Peacetime Operation Forces, Rapid Reaction Forces and supporting units will have trainings in the municipalities of Marijampolė and Vilkaviškis.
